Where are Connemara and Clifden located?

Nestled amidst breathtaking mountain scenery and beautiful rugged coastline is one of Ireland's most loved towns, Clifden. Located in the West of Ireland in a famous region known as Connemara, Clifden is the largest town in Connemara, which of course is an outstanding jewel in Ireland's scenic crown.


So - how do you get here?

Road: Car: Clifden is easily reached by the N59 from Galway or Westport. Access to Galway from Dublin is by the major N4/N6 route. From Shannon use the N18/N6 - see our map page.

Coach: Regular coach services connect Clifden with Galway city, Dublin and the rest of Ireland. CityLink (091-564163) offer regular direct service between Galway City and Dublin Airport. Bus Eireann (091-562000) and Michael Nee (095-51082) provide service between Clifden and Galway City.
