The 33rd Clifden Arts Festival will take place between the 16-26 September 2010.
The Clifden Arts Festival returns with arts events around the town. One of Ireland's longest-running festivals, it has inspired countless other Irish events, bringing the arts to more remote parts of the country through music, dance, drama, poetry and literature.
The whole town of Clifden mucks in: expect art in various guises, emanating from all age groups (local schools get involved too). There are plenty of literary readings and music, as well as an extensive theatre, dance and visual arts programme.
Various exhibitions take place at venues in Clifden and the surrounding area - the majority of artwork is on display to the public at Clifden Community School, Ballyconneely Road, Clifden, and West Connemara Leisure Centre (adjacent to the Community School) for the duration of Arts Week.
